ISLAMABAD: ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing has summoned the students, who had scored over 97 per cent in the recently held Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) as authorities have uncovered exceptionally high scores by some candidates.
The FIA probe started on a complaint filed by Bilawal Mallah, a board member of the Human Rights Justice and Defenders Organization.
During the inquiry, FIA officials noted that some students, from various secondary education boards across the country, achieved exceptionally high scores — 97.5 per cent out of 200. Officials believe it was unlikely for students to attain such marks under normal circumstances.
The FIA suspected that such students may be involved in or aware of the alleged leak. Sources said that all the students who scored above 97.5 per cent have been summoned to appear at the FIA Cybercrime Circle on Friday, November 1, at noon. They have been directed to bring their CNIC with them to face the probe.

FIA officials have instructed the students to appear for a mock examination to assess their actual proficiency.
The FIA has warned that failure to comply with the summons would be understood as having no defence against the allegations. The FIA said that legal action will proceed based on the available evidence if the students failed to show up.
Doubts over the fairness of the MDCAT surfaced after the nationwide exam on September 22, with over 50 students accused of cheating and two arrests made.
Sources at the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) said that a detailed report would be issued after verifying complaints from across the country, followed by appropriate actions.
Sources said that such high-scoring students were allegedly involved and knew beforehand about the medical test.
On September 22, FIRs were filed against around 50 MDCAT candidates and two students were arrested on charges of using unfair means.
