May 9 cases: Military courts sentence Hassan Niazi, 59 more perpetrators – HUM News

RAWALPINDI: Military courts have sentenced 60 more May 9 perpetrators, including PTI founder Imran Khan’s nephew Hassan Niazi, according to Inter Services Press Statement (ISPR).

According to ISPR, the Field General Court Martial has sentenced an additional 60 individuals for their involvement in the May 9 violence, following the Supreme Court’s guidelines.

The trials ensured adherence to due process and protection of legal rights, according to ISPR.

1. Jinnah House Attack:
   • Hassaan Khan Niazi: 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Mian Abad Farooq: 2 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Rais Ahmed: 6 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Arzam Junaid: 6 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Ali Raza: 6 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Brigadier (Retd.) Javed Akram: 6 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Muhammad Arsalan: 7 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Muhammad Umair: 6 years rigorous imprisonment.
   • Nauman Shah: 4 years rigorous imprisonment.
