ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has assured diplomats from 12 countries that a thorough investigation into the Malam Jabba attack will be conducted.
The convoy of more than 10 foreign ambassadors was passing through the picturesque town of Malam Jabba in the Swat district when it was hit by a roadside bomb on Sunday.
The convoy included diplomats from Bosnia, Russia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Portugal.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held out the assurance during a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to sources.
Diplomatic staff from 12 nations attended the briefing, where the Foreign Minister vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
He reassured the diplomats that the investigation would be swift and comprehensive, with those responsible held accountable.

TTP DENIES INVOLVEMNET
The Pakistani Taliban denied carrying out a roadside bomb attack on a police convoy escorting foreign ambassadors that killed a policeman.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in a statement said it had “nothing to do with the attack” in the northwest of the country, which also wounded three other officers.
