Jinnah Hospital: Six doctors face disciplinary action – HUM News


LAHORE: The Punjab Health Department has taken action against six doctors of Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, for ghost employment.

It has been learnt that several doctors of the Jinnah Hospital were drawing salaries despite being absent from their duties for an extended period. Some were even residing abroad while being marked as “on duty.”

In response to these irregularities, action has been initiated against six doctors from the Urology Department. Show-cause notices have also been issued to those responsible for verifying their attendance.

Dancing, “unethical” activities banned in Punjab Colleges

An official letter highlighted the prolonged absence of these doctors and their continuous salary withdrawals, causing a loss of millions to public funds.

The Punjab Health Department has ordered action under the PEEDA Act against the doctors and demanded responses within seven days.
