Islamabad weather: Embrace for monsoon deluge – HUM News


ISLAMABAD: Islamabad is set to experience rainy weather with wind and thunderstorms on Tuesday (today).

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the capital will face periods of heavy rainfall, especially during the night hours.

Weather in Islamabad on Tuesday is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a humidity level of 61 per cent.

Monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea are affecting the southern and eastern parts of Pakistan, while a westerly disturbance is influencing the northern regions.

Rainfall is predicted to persist over the next three days, with heavy showers possible in isolated locations within upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Potohar region.

Regional weather forecast for Tuesday

Balochistan

The majority of districts will see hot and humid conditions.

Howeever, residents in Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Shirani, Loralai, Sibbi, Ziarat, Kalat, Khuzdar, and Nasserabad can expect rain accompanied by strong winds.

Punjab

Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, Lahore, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Multan, Taunsa, and Dera Ghazi Khan are expected to experience rain or thunderstorms.

Heavy rainfall might occur in isolated areas of the Potohar region, while other regions will remain humid.

Sindh

Most areas will be hot and humid, with the possibility of light rain, wind, or drizzle in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Dadu, and Larkana.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Batagram, Mansehra, Balakot, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Nowshera, Swabi, Charsadda, Mohmand, Khyber, Bajaur, Malakand, Mardan, Peshawar, Karak, Kohat, Kurram, Bannu, Waziristan, Lucky Marwat, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan are expected to see rain, accompanied by wind and thunderstorms.

Some isolated areas might experience heavy rainfall.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Rain with wind and thunderstorms is predicted.

Kashmir

Rain and thunderstorms are forecasted across Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
