ISLAMABAD: The sudden closure of Faqir Aipee Road in Islamabad without prior notice has caused major inconvenience for commuters.
On Thursday morning, long queues of vehicles were seen near NESCOM Hospital and Police Lines, as the road remained blocked due to security concerns following the Jaffar Express attack.
Many schoolchildren and university students were either late for classes or missed them entirely due to the heavy traffic caused by the road closure. The road was barricaded by concrete slabs and barbed wires.
Citizens have urged authorities to provide advance notifications about road closures so commuters can plan alternate routes and avoid unnecessary delays.
