ISLAMABAD: A first-of-its-kind and state-of-the-art digital parking was inaugurated at G-8 Markaz on Friday to facilitate motorists to park their vehicles free of cost.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited Pakistan’s first digital parking during its soft launch.
During the briefing following Chairman Randhawa’s visit, it was announced that parking will be free initially to promote awareness of the new digital parking system. Drivers will be able to obtain parking tickets from within their vehicles.
He said that payments for parking can be made through various digital methods, including credit cards, debit cards, QR codes, and scratch cards. In the first phase, digital parking will be introduced at F7 Centre, Centaurus, and Blue Area Parking Plaza, with plans to expand to additional business centres across the capital.
Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa further said that the revenue generated from the digital parking system will be reinvested into improving the market
