ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that terrorism in Pakistan is being supported by external elements. He accused India of promoting instability in the region.
Tarar said that Pakistan remains a victim of terrorism, despite playing a major role in efforts to maintain peace across Asia. He added that Hindu nationalist ideology in India poses a threat to regional peace and India is attempting to disrupt South Asian stability.
Addressing the Pahalgam incident, Tarar criticized India for blaming Pakistan without any investigation. He added that Pakistan had offered cooperation for a transparent inquiry, which he said was ‘not acknowledged by India’.
Tarar also said that the balance of power in South Asia should be re-examined and that Pakistan possesses sufficient manpower to respond to any type of aggression.
