KARACHI: The Sindh government announced that the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur will now take charge of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).
The decision follows IBA Karachi’s refusal to conduct the medical entrance exam, citing lack of interest in managing the process.
The Sindh Chief Minster approved a budget of Rs23.21 billion for IBA Sukkur to facilitate the administration of the MDCAT.

The funding aims to ensure a smooth execution fo the medical entrance exams, important for swtudents aspiring to enter medical and dental colleges across the province,.
The provincial government also hinted that the MDCAT will take place within the next six weeks.
The MDCAT has historically been an important exam for those seeking admission in medical and dental colleges. It was introduced in th 2017-18 academic year.
The MDCAT has been held in several cities across Sindh, including Hyderabad, Karachi, Nawabshah, Sukkur and Larkana.
