ISLAMABAD: Although actress and model Humaira Asghar was finally laid to rest on Friday, the question remains whether she died a natural death or was murdered.
Humaira Asghar’s lonely death and the manner in which her dead body was recovered has shocked not only the entertainment fraternity but the general public as well.
Despite the burial, the mystery surrounding her death remains intact and several questions remain unanswered.
According to the post-mortem report compiled by Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed, Humaira Asghar’s body was eight to 10 months old and was in the last stages of decomposition and had become unrecognizable by the time it was discovered due to which the cause of her death could not be determined.
The report further stated that the facial muscles had completely deteriorated, while the fingers and nails had decayed to the point of becoming skeletal remains. Large portions of the body were missing muscle tissue, and in some areas, the bones disintegrated upon contact. The brain matter had undergone complete autolysis, and the internal organs had turned into a black, shapeless mass. Joint cartilage was entirely absent. Despite the extensive decay, no fractures were found in the skeletal structure. The head and spine were intact, although the spinal cord was missing. Brown insects were observed, particularly in the hair, but no maggots were present.
However, samples have been extracted for DNA profiling and toxicology analyses. Samples of hair, clothing, and blood have been sent for chemical examination.
The results of these tests are expected to provide further insight.
WAS HUMAIRA MURDERED?
Things took another turn when a complaint was lodged on the PM portal urging that Humaira’s death should be treated as murder.
The complaint alleged that Humaira was forced to consume alcohol and meth, raising suspicions of a preplanned conspiracy.
The court has demanded detailed reports and launched a deeper investigation into her death.
