Hot, dry weather to persist across country; rain in the north – HUM News


WEB DESK: On Thursday, most parts of the country are expected to experience hot and dry conditions, says Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). However, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to see partly cloudy skies, accompanied by strong winds and occasional thundershowers in some areas.

In Islamabad, the weather is forecasted to remain dry, though some cloud cover is expected over the capital and its surrounding areas.

Punjab is set to experience mostly hot and dry conditions across its districts, but in areas like Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas, the skies will be partly cloudy.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will generally remain dry, though districts such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohistan, Bajaur, and Kurram may experience cloudy conditions with gusty winds and scattered thundershowers.

In Sindh, the heat is expected to persist, with dry conditions prevailing across most districts. The same hot and dry weather is anticipated for Balochistan.

Kashmir will be cloudy throughout the day, with the possibility of thundershowers at a few locations. Similarly, in Gilgit-Baltistan, clouds will cover the skies, and some areas may see thundershowers as well.
