ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani passport, often referred to as the “green passport,” has further declined in global rankings, due to which Pakistanis will be facing stricter restrictions while traveling internationally.
According to the latest report by Henley & Partners, an international passport ranking organization, the Pakistani passport has landed at the 102nd position.
Due to this decrease the green passport global rankings now lag behind countries such as Somalia, Yemen, Bangladesh, the Palestinian Authority, Ethiopia, and Libya, which all rank at 101st.
According to the report, citizens of these countries can travel to 38 nations visa-free, whereas Pakistani passport holders can enter only 34 countries without a visa.
Last year Pakistan was jointly ranked 92nd with Yemen and Somalia, making it the fourth weakest passport globally.
