ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his party has completely rejected the government’s draft on the proposed constitutional amendment.

“What kind of game was played?” Maulana Fazlur Rehman asked while speaking informally to the media after arriving at the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser.
He said that the government’s draft was unacceptable in any form, adding that supporting it would have been a significant betrayal of the nation.
He reiterated that the proposed constitutional amendment was not acceptable. He also said that “Now even the government is saying it wasn’t their draft. What kind of game was this? After reviewing it, we found it to be entirely unacceptable.”
PTI leader and former president Arif Alvi and Raoof Hassan also attended the luncheon hosted by Asad Qaiser.
Asad Qaiser said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the opposition has resolved to handle all matters through consultation.
