GC University bans ‘jeans, t-shirts’ for students – HUM News


LAHORE: The Government College University Lahore has banned jeans and T-shirts for male and female students on the university premises.

According to a notification dated August 20, the Vice Chancellor of GC University has approved a new dress code for students. Under this new policy, every student must display their university ID card at all times within the classroom and campus.

Students are expected to “dress decently, reflecting the values of the university.”

“Male students are required to wear dress shirts and shoes, while female students must wear modest clothing along with a dupatta,” read the notification.

The notification further said that all l intermediate students should wear GCU uniform properly.

“Any student not adhering to the dress code may be checked by the proctors within university premises and will be fined accordingly,” the notification added.
