SWAT: At least four police personnel were injured in a bomb explosion near a police van in Swat on Sunday.
According to police, the attack targeted a police mobile on Swat Malam Jabba Road. The incident occurred in Jahanabad, resulting in injuries to the four officers and damage to the vehicle.
A heavy police contingent arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
Police said that an investigation is under way to determine the nature of the explosion and identify those responsible.
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government approved Rs1 billion to equip the police force with modern weapons and equipment to combat terrorism and lawlessness in the province.
According to the documents, Rs800 million will be allocated for the purchase of 10 armored vehicles, while Rs200 million will be used to acquire the MRAPV.
