Four more bodies recovered from building rubble in Karachi – HUM News


KARACHI: As per latest updates, four more bodies have been recovered from the rubble of collapsed building in Lyari area of Karachi.

With this, the confirmed death toll of the incident has increased to 27.

The rescue operation after the collapse of a building in the Lyari Baghdadi area of ​​Karachi has now entered its third day.

According to rescue officials, 95 per cent of the debris removal work has been completed, and heavy machinery is being used to remove the remaining debris. The rescue operation will be completed by tonight, rescue officials said on Sunday.

The officials informed that so far, in total 16 men, nine women and two children are among the dead, and another four to five people are feared to be still buried under the rubble. That is why the operation is not being carried out quickly.

Earlier on Sunday, body of a child was recovered from the rubble that had been trapped under a fallen pillar. Some precious metal jewelry was also recovered from the scene, which was handed over to the officials concerned.
