KARACHI: A huge fire erupted at an oil refinery company located near Korangi Crossing, Karachi, in early hours of Saturday.
The blaze reportedly ignited from a damaged gas line, which was compromised during water boring activities conducted by a private society in the area.

According to police reports, the incident occurred when the water boring operation inadvertently struck the gas line, leading to the ignition of gas and subsequent fire.
Emergency services were immediately alerted, and more than six fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters have been working to control the blaze, with efforts ongoing to prevent the fire from spreading further.
Staff from the Sui Southern Gas Company also arrived at the location to assist in managing the emergency and to assess the damage to the gas line.
Authorities claim they are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the fire near the oil refinery in Korangi Crossing. This includes investigating the actions of the private society involved in the water boring.

No casualties have been reported as of this time. Officials also urged nearby residents to remain vigilant as the situation develops.
