QUETTA: Field Marshal Asim Munir on Friday made it clear that Pakistan could never be pressured and said they would foil the efforts aimed at diverting the country’s attention from the ongoing war against terrorism.
According to the ISPR, the army chief said Pakistan had undeniable evidence of India’s backing of terrorism in the country – an obvious reference to the terrorists operating in Balochistan as well as the Khawarij who are mainly focused on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He termed the unprovoked Indian aggression as an alarming trend, in his address at the Command and Staff College, Quetta.
At the same time, the field marshal told the audience that Pakistan was fully capable of thwarting every kind of hostility.
He also dwelt upon the Indus Waters Treaty issue, which India put in abeyance soon after the Pahalgam attack without even investigating the matter amid the unconditional support Pakistan extended.
