QUETTA: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi has called for a unified global commitment to justice. He said that the pursuit of justice “is not the duty of institutions alone, but a collective responsibility of all humanity.”
Addressing an event in provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta, CJP Afridi said that “justice is not bound by borders; it is a pillar of human dignity and peace,” adding that the solution to the problems facing the world lies in the rule of law.
Citing issues such as terrorism and human rights violations as urgent threats that demand legal and moral clarity, across the world, he said, “The Pakistani judiciary stands with the world in the struggle for justice”. He praised both national and international judicial systems for their critical role in safeguarding human rights and protecting global peace.
He expressed appreciation for global institutions such as the International Criminal Court (ICC), acknowledging their efforts in promoting international justice and accountability.
