London court ruled in favour of eight former employees of the airline in unfair dismissal case
LONDON/KARACHI: Eight former employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have won an unfair dismissal case in a London court, securing a compensation order of £500,000 (approximately Rs 200 million).
The employees, who were dismissed two years ago, successfully challenged the national airline’s decision, arguing that their terminations were unjust.

The ex-employees, who had been with PIA for periods ranging from 5 to 15 years, filed the lawsuit shortly after their dismissal, claiming wrongful termination. After a legal battle, the London court ruled in their favour, ordering PIA to compensate the affected individuals.
PIA has agreed to pay the £500,000 in damages to the eight former staff members.
