Dry, hot weather expected across most parts of Pakistan – HUM News


ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecast hot and dry weather conditions for most parts of the country in the coming days.

According to the Met Office, the federal capital Islamabad will remain hot and dry, while similar weather conditions are expected in most districts of Balochistan.

In Punjab, hot and dry conditions are likely to persist across most areas. However, rain accompanied by thunder is expected at isolated places in Jhelum and Chakwal.

In Sindh, coastal areas may experience partly cloudy skies, though no significant rainfall is expected.

The plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also likely to face hot and dry weather.

Meanwhile, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir are forecast to remain under similar conditions, with temperatures remaining on the higher side during the day.

The Met Office has advised citizens to take precautions against the heat, particularly in areas where day temperatures are likely to rise further. Farmers have also been advised to plan irrigation of their crops accordingly.

Temperature of major cities recorded this morning:   

Islamabad twenty-two degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-six, Karachi twenty-seven, Peshawar twenty-four, Quetta sixteen, Gilgit and Murree fourteen and Muzaffarabad twenty-one degree centigrade.
