ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar claiming that the government has enough support to table the constitutional package in the parliament has said that we are building consensus among political stakeholders on matters of national interest.
Talking to media, Atta Tarar reiterated that the government is confident about having sufficient numbers in Parliament to table the constitutional amendment package.
He stressed, “Our numbers are complete, and we are making sure all stakeholders are on board to avoid any political deadlock.” This highlights the government’s push to maintain stability amid growing political tensions.

Tarar emphasized the importance of unity among political leaders. “We want to move forward with all stakeholders,” he said, reflecting the government’s desire for inclusivity in decision-making. However, if consensus is not achieved, Tarar mentioned, “As Bilawal Bhutto Zardari suggested, we will proceed accordingly,” leaving open the possibility of moving ahead with alternative plans if needed.
Tarar revealed that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recently met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and discussed various issues with JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman as well.
Bilawal’s meeting with the Prime Minister focused on the evolving political scenario, and both leaders discussed strategies to ensure smooth governance. Bilawal’s conversation with Maulana Fazlur Rehman reportedly aimed at aligning on key decisions.
