ISLAMABAD: Cold and cloudy weather is predicted for some areas while rain and snow are expected in upper parts of the country, according to the latest weather update by the Meteorological Department.
According to the met office, cloudy and cold weather is expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas where temperatures are expected to hover around 11 degree centigrade with no chances of rain
Rain and snowfall is expected in Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, and Mansehra regions. Light rain and snowfall is predicted in some areas of Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir
Partly cloudy and cold weather is expected in Quetta, Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Ziarat and Qila Saifullah. Partly cloudy conditions are expected.
Frozen SSGC pipeline: Gas supply to several areas affected
Foggy conditions will prevail in Punjab. Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sahiwal, Okara, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalnagar are likely to experience dense fog especially in early morning and evening.
Fog is expected in Sukkur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Khairpur areas of Sindh.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take necessary precautions during cold weather and foggy conditions.
