ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Officers Association on Saturday expressed concerns over appointments to key positions in the PAA during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) tenure.

The association has written DG Pakistan Airports Authority opposing the contracts for five officers holding high positions.

In the letter, they have requested contracts for additional Director PRM Saifullah Khan, Director of Safety Standards Khurram Shehzad, Director Finance Hafiz Muhammad Saqib Butt, Director CNS Saeed Ahmed, and Additional director of vigilance Col Rtd Rehan Afzal.

The Civil Aviation Officers Association claims that the recruitment process for these crucial positions was not transparent.

They state that the process did not adhere to the rules and regulations or the standards mentioned in the advertisement.

The Association recommends the appointment of regular employees instead of extending contracts for these positions.
