CDA to go cashless, allot land for police university


ISLAMABAD: During the fourth meeting of the Capital Development Board (CDA) Islamabad, it was decided that the authority will implement SAP accounting system for all its transactions, which will now be completely cashless.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired the meeting, which was attended by all members of the board. It was decided during the meeting that, going forward, all types of CDA payments in Islamabad will be cashless.

Payments for 165 services provided at one window have been made cashless.

Additionally, water tanker charges have also been made cashless. The account of Islamabad Water has been transferred to cashless payments through QR code.

In the next phase, fines received from Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), Environment and Enforcement, and payments received in other sectors will also be made cashless, the meeting decided.

SAP SYSTEM ON CARDS

It was decided during the meeting that SAP accounting system be implemented for better management of financial matters in the institution. The meeting was informed that the SAP will be a double-entry accounting system.

CDA staff will meet with the Controller General of Pakistan next week for the implementation of SAP accounting system. The board members were informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed in this regard.

LAND AND RENTED SPACES

In the fourth meeting of the CDA Board, it was decided that land be allotted to the National Police Academy for the establishment of a police university.

Moreover, a committee headed by Member Finance has been formed to identify the rented spaces of CDA in Islamabad. The committee includes Director Land, Director Municipal Administration and Director General Building Control Section.

ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT

The board meeting decided that the details of all assets of the institution should be compiled by the end of the current financial year.

CDA Chairman also directed for preparation of a financial report of the institution, on a corporate sector basis, by the end of the current financial year. The financial report should publish details of the achievements and targets of the institution regarding the financial year, Randhawa said.
