Earlier, at around 10 pm, a delegation from the Opposition, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) met with the Maulana as well. The delegation included PTI leaders, Hamid Khan, Ali Zafar and Salman Akram Raja.
While the two were meeting, a surprise government delegation that included Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ishaq Dar and PPP member Naveed Qamar also showed up.
The evening included a dinner hosted by Maulana Fazl for the PTI delegation.
PTI leader Hamid Khan departed from the JUI-F chief’s house around 11 pm. Following this, Sheikh Waqar Akram, provided insights into the meeting.
He noted that, for the first time, a comprehensive draft was presented by Maulana Fazl. Waqas also stated that current draft represented as ‘advancement’ over the initial three ones.
However, the final decision would rest with the founder of the PTI, Imran Khan.
Sheikh Waqas said that his party regarded Maulana Fazl’s draft as the final version, rather than the PML-N led government’s proposal.
