ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed tomorrow (Wednesday) in observance of Kashmir Day.
According to a statement issued by the State Bank, all its offices will remain closed as per the government of Pakistan’s announcement declaring Kashmir Day a public holiday.
The federal government had earlier released a holiday calendar for the year, confirming that February 5 would be a national holiday, during which all government and semi-government institutions across the country will remain closed.
Nation to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day tomorrow
Additionally, educational institutions and markets across the country will also be closed to express solidarity with Kashmir.
The holiday is observed every year to show solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
To mark the occasion, public rallies, seminars, and human chains will be organized in major cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.
