Balochistan comes under coordinated terror attacks, train services suspended – HUM News

QUETTA: Train services from the city of Quetta to other parts of the country has been suspended due to a series of coordinated terrorist attacks across multiple districts of Balochistan.

The terrorist attacks have caused significant infrastructure damage and loss of lives.

A group of terrorists struck in Bolan district, where they blew up a railway bridge in the Dozan area using explosives.

The destruction of the bridge caused a complete suspension of train service between Quetta and other parts of the country.

In Bela tehsil of Lasbela district, terrorists attacked a Frontier Corps (FC) camp. In a swift retaliatory action by the FC, five terrorists were killed, while the remaining attackers managed to escape.

Security forces have since launched a search operation in the area to apprehend those who fled.

At least 10 people, including police and Balochistan Levies personnel, were killed in a gun attack in Kalat.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dostin Dashti confirmed that those killed included a police sub-inspector, four Levies personnel, and five civilians.

The attackers fled the area, and police have launched a clearance operation.

Security sources said that terrorists carried out multiple attacks across Balochistan on the night of August 24-25.

In response, security forces and law enforcement agencies killed 12 militants and injured several others. The operation will continue until all attackers are neutralised, the sources added.
