Bajaur JI leader among three killed in Kohistan car crash – HUM News


GILGIT: Three people including the Bajaur Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader were killed in the Jijal area of Lower Kohistan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when a car fell into a ravine on Monday.

According to Rescue 1122, the driver of the car, which was traveling from Bajaur to Gilgit, lost control near the Khokyal locality in Jijal on the Karakoram Highway.

The vehicle plunged into a deep ravine while navigating a sharp turn, resulting in the deaths of all three passengers on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Hayat Muhammad, a resident of Inayat Kallay, Bajaur; Amanullah, son of Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Sadiqabad, Khar, Bajaur; and Qari Abdul Majeed, the district deputy chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Bajaur.

Rescue workers provided initial medical assistance and transferred the bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Pattan. According to Rescue 1122 Lower Kohistan, timely coordination and the efforts of local residents contributed to the efficient completion of the rescue operation.
