ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, has claimed that the shawl on which an egg was thrown at her has been sold for Rs5 million.
Aleema Khan said that the amount raised from the sale was donated to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.
She said that the buyer, an overseas PTI supporter, transferred the money directly to the hospital, and the shawl would now be sent to him.

It may be recalled that last month, two women had thrown an egg at Aleema Khan during her media talk outside Adiala jail, Rawalpindi.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesperson Inspector Sajjadul Hassan, the women were supporters of PTI and claimed that they did so in protest after Aleema refused to answer their questions.
Police said that the women were arrested and shifted to the Adiala jail police post following the incident.
After the incident, Aleema Khan said that she was not afraid of such attacks adding that she knew who was behind such attacks.
The incident occurred as members of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance and All Pakistan Clerk Association from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were staging a protest outside the prison.
According to witnesses, the women asked questions, and when they did not receive answers, they hurled eggs.
‘Throwing egg at Aleema Khan shameful act’
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique had condemned the attack on Aleema Khan.
“Throwing egg at Aleema Khan is nothing but a shameful and deportable act,” he said in a post on his official Facebook.
Calling it the “outcome of fascist mindset”, the said the incident was likened to past episodes of political intolerance, including the shoe hurled at Nawaz Sharif, ink thrown at Khawaja Asif, and the disturbance outside a London hospital where Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was under treatment.
Rafique was of the opinion that one cannot reap the fruits of an antidote by sowing the seeds of poison. “This behavior must be discouraged, condemned, and resisted at every level.”
