After Minahil Malik, another Minahil goes viral for her video – HUM News

ISLAMABAD: Following the controversy surrounding TikToker Minahil Malik’s leaked videos, another woman with the same name has sparked fresh controversy with a video that not only went viral on social media but also cost a station house officer (SHO) and a Muharrar of Islamabad police their jobs.

The second Minahil posted a video on social media in which she can be seen sitting on the chair of the SHO at the Sihala police station.

Minahil’s video recorded at the Sihala police station sparked outrage online, leading to the suspension of the SHO and the registration of a criminal case against the TikToker and her cameraman.

The viral video features Minahil casually walking through the police station, sitting in the SHO’s and Muharrar’s chairs, and recording videos — some while handling official documents — which were later posted on social media.

According to police sources, Minahil freely roamed the premises, assuming the role of a senior officer for the video shoot.

The incident prompted swift action from Islamabad police high-ups, who took notice of the violation and suspended SHO Zafar Gondal, while Muharrar Yasir was placed on standby duty.

Sub-inspector Amir Hayat has been appointed as the new SHO of Sihala police station, officials confirmed.

Following the SHO’s suspension, a case was also registered against Minahil and her accomplice.

The FIR states that the woman was seen sitting in a government officer’s chair and interfering with official paperwork, impersonating a public servant to deceive the public.

Minahil’s cameraman has been named as Qamar Abbas, a resident of Shakriyaan, Rawalpindi.

The incident reportedly took place on April 14. The FIR has been filed under sections 419 (impersonation), 170 (personating a public servant), 171 (wearing garb or carrying token used by public servant), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Police officials said further investigation is underway.
