LAHORE: The Punjab government will set up 10 model bazaars across Lahore during Ramazan ul Mubarak for the convenience of the citizens.
In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza on the arrangements for the Ramazan bazaars.
According to the briefing given in the meeting, 10 model bazaars will be established in Lahore during Ramazan.
There will be a model bazaar in each tehsil, which will have 10 shops. Out of these, seven shops will be for fruits, vegetables, pulses, spices and other items, while three shops will be reserved for meat.

The DC Lahore said that quality goods at affordable prices will be provided to the citizens. The market committee will determine the price lists and the shopkeepers of these bazaars will be provided with goods at wholesale rates.
According to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore, there will be separate counters for women, senior citizens and general consumers in the Ramazan bazaar.
“There will be proper arrangements for cleanliness and parking, he said. He also directed the completion of all arrangements by February 24, before the start of the holy month of Ramazan.
