After six years of success, the popular TV series Yellowstone is coming to a close, with the final episodes of season five now airing. As fans eagerly await the conclusion, many have begun speculating about the fate of the Dutton family.
However, actor Cole Hauser, who plays ranch foreman Rip Wheeler, has debunked these theories, stating they are all inaccurate.
“This show and what they think this season is going to be – everybody has their opinion of it,” Hauser told Reuters. “And to be quite honest, none of them are right.”
Even the cast was kept in the dark about the ending, as some scripts were redacted to preserve the mystery. Season five was split into two parts, with the final six episodes premiering on the Paramount Network for U.S. fans and in Britain on Monday. In India, only the first three seasons are available on Netflix, with later seasons expected to arrive later.
Yellowstone has become the top-rated scripted show in the U.S. since its 2018 debut, leading to two spinoffs. The final episodes, however, will proceed without star Kevin Costner, whose departure was described as both “energizing and disheartening” by the cast.
Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, said of Costner’s exit, “The way that Taylor [Sheridan] has ended this season is the way he always intended it to.”
