“He confronted his illness with the same strength and dignity he brought to his craft, creating a legacy of warmth, humor, and dedication, along with his remarkable ability to make every role unforgettable,” Jessie said in her tribute.
Mark Withers became a household name in 1981 when he portrayed Ted Dinard in Dynasty, the love interest of Steven Carrington, played by Al Corley. Although his character’s storyline lasted only six episodes, Ted’s tragic death left a lasting impact on fans and the Carrington family in the show.
Beyond Dynasty, Withers’ illustrious TV career spanned decades, with appearances in Castle, Criminal Minds, Days of Our Lives, Hill Street Blues, Magnum P.I., Remington Steele, Sense8, The King of Queens, and more.
