Singer and actor Guru Randhawa has been hospitalized after sustaining serious injuries while performing a stunt for his upcoming film, Shaunki Sardar. The singer took to Instagram on Sunday to update his fans about his health. Sharing a picture of himself lying on a hospital bed with a cervical collar and a bandage on his forehead, Guru managed a weak smile and gave a thumbs-up gesture.
Speaking about his injury, he wrote, “My first stunt, my first injury, but my spirit remains unbroken. A memory from the sets of Shaunki Sardar. Bahut mushkil kaam hai action waala (Action scenes are difficult), but I will work hard for my audience.” His post was flooded with well wishes from fans. One supporter commented, “Get well soon, champ,” while another wrote, “I can’t see this post, love you paji.” A concerned fan added, “We want quality work but not in exchange for your life or health.”
Directed by Dheeraj Rattan, Shaunki Sardar features Babbu Mann, Hashneen Chauhan, Karina Sorelli, Nimrit Ahluwalia, and Tiffany Kennedy. Just weeks before the accident, Guru visited the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, taking a sacred dip at Triveni Sangam. Reflecting on the experience, he shared, “Blessed to take a sacred dip in Maa Ganga at Prayagraj, where faith flows and spirituality thrives. Starting my new journey with God’s blessing. Har Har Gange!”
Guru Randhawa, known for chartbusters like Lahore, Patola, Ishare Tere, and High Rated Gabru, made his debut with the song Same Girl.
