In a recent interview at the Locarno Film Festival, where Shah Rukh Khan was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, the iconic actor shared his unique perspective on his future in acting.
When asked about his plans, he humorously remarked, “Will I act forever? Yeah, till the day I die, my life’s dream is for somebody to say action, and then I die. They say cut, and then I don’t get up.”
Khan elaborated on his commitment to acting, expressing a desire to continue until others decide otherwise. “It’s over now, please? I say, ‘No, till you all say it’s okay.’ Yes, I’d love to act forever,” he added.
Despite his immense success, Khan emphasized that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. “If I can entertain you for two minutes, it’s love. If I can love someone for 50 years, that’s entertainment,” he said, highlighting the joy he finds in sharing his craft. He believes in the power of brief moments of connection, stating, “If I can entertain someone for 30 seconds, it’s creative.”
Fans can look forward to seeing Khan next in Sujoy Ghosh’s crime drama, King, where he will star alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan. The film is expected to be released in 2026.
