After months of tireless speculation about the next zombie adventure movie, Ralph Fiennes recently revealed the details of “28 Years Later”.
For everyone eagerly anticipating the release of the sequel to 2007’s “28 Weeks Later”, Ralph Fiennes recently shared some exciting details. The actor, known for his role in “The Invisible Woman”, revealed to IndieWire that he plays a significant role as a doctor in “28 Years Later” and surprised everyone by stating that the next film will be a three-part entry.
In further discussions with the outlet, Fiennes explained that the thrilling movie portrays a plague-infected Britain 28 years after the initial outbreak. The region is overrun by rabid and violent humans, with only a few healthy, uninfected individuals struggling to survive in communities.
The storyline follows a boy on a quest to find a doctor who can help his dying mother.
“He leads his mother through this beautiful northern English terrain. But of course, around them, hiding in forests and hills and woods, are the infected,” The actor who left us in awe with his mind-blowing performance as the antagonist, Lord Voldemort, in the Harry Potter series stated.
He then added that the boy eventually finds a man who is a doctor. Although this character may initially seem “weird and odd” to the audience, he is actually “a force for good.”
Alongside Ralph Fiennes, the film “28 Years Later” also features notable names like Jodie Comer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, with Cillian Murphy reprising his role from 2002’s “28 Days Later”.
In May of this year, Tim Rothman stated that the “Oppenheimer” star would return for the sequel. The chairman of Sony Motion Pictures Group also teased that his role would surprise everyone watching the film and expand further.
The same duo who worked on *28 Days Later* will write and direct the next entry in the zombie series.
