Darakshan SDPO Manisha Rupita recently clarified that the incident involving model and actress Nimra Khan was not a kidnapping but a case of harassment. According to the police investigation, the alleged perpetrator, who was on a motorcycle and acted alone, was not involved in an abduction, contrary to initial reports.
The event, which took place on August 11 in DHA Phase 8, was initially thought to be an attempted kidnapping, leading to a comprehensive investigation ordered by the District South’s DIG and SSP. Darakshan DSP led the investigation, which concluded that the incident was related to harassment rather than an abduction attempt.
In response to the increase in harassment cases against women, the police have created a route map for the suspect and are actively working to locate and apprehend him, with hopes for a swift arrest.
Nimra Khan has expressed her gratitude for the police’s efforts, commending their dedication to collecting evidence and thoroughly investigating the case. She appreciates the support from law enforcement in ensuring her safety and pursuing justice for the accused.
