The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed his arrest after an inquiry was launched based on a complaint from the company’s board of directors.
Authorities allege that Atif Khan misappropriated 80 million rupees from corporate funds for personal trading. Additionally, he reportedly obtained 654 million rupees through a third party, repaying it with high-interest payments using company resources.
The FIA has also implicated former Chief Financial Officer Faisal Sheikh and another associate, Imtiaz Ahmed, in facilitating the fraudulent activities. Officials have stated that further investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the financial discrepancies.
