Singer Monali Thakur has denied recent health claims, dismissing reports that she was rushed to a hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties during her live performance at the Dinhata Festival in Cooch Behar on January 21. She labeled the rumors as ‘entirely false’ and urged people not to blow the situation out of proportion, stressing that there is no cause for concern.
Monali Thakur addressed the rumors on her Instagram stories, thanking everyone for their concern while clarifying that the reports are inaccurate. She assured her followers that she was not experiencing any breathing issues and was not hospitalized. Dismissing the claims, she stated, “That’s false information.”
The singer explained that a relapse of a viral infection caused her recent health concerns, which occurred because she did not allow enough time for recovery. She clarified that the infection had returned, causing severe sinus and migraine pain, especially during flights. She assured everyone that this was the full extent of her health issue.
She reassured her followers that she is now back in Mumbai, receiving treatment and resting to recover. She expressed confidence in her full recovery soon, emphasizing that there’s no need for concern.
Monali urged media outlets and fans to avoid spreading unverified information. She said, “Let’s not make this bigger than it is, especially when there are much more important things to focus on.” She also thanked everyone for the love and support she has received.
Earlier, India Today reported that Monali Thakur experienced health issues while performing the song “Tune Maari Entriyaan” at a festival. After finishing her performance, she addressed the audience, apologized, and explained that she could not continue.
She reportedly revealed that she had been feeling very unwell and mentioned informing the organizers about the possibility of canceling the show. She added that committing to a performance and then being unable to fulfill it was a challenging situation.
