Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, was arrested over the weekend on allegations of domestic violence against his estranged wife, Kate Major. The 64-year-old was taken into custody in Texas on Saturday, with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirming that he physically assaulted Major.
The incident allegedly occurred on Friday, February 21, when Major, 42, spotted Lohan in the parking lot of a medical facility. Concerned that he was following her, she reported it to authorities. She later told officers that Lohan had “flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier.” Deputies noted visible bruising on Major’s body. Lohan was arrested and charged with “continuous violence against the family” and is currently being held on a $30,000 bond.
Lohan and Major, who married in 2014, have been estranged since 2018 when Major filed for divorce, calling their marriage “irretrievably broken.” Their tumultuous relationship has seen multiple legal troubles, including Major’s past arrest for “drunkenly attacking” Lohan and allegedly throwing a glass candle at him.
Before Major, Michael Lohan was married to Dina Lohan from 1985 to 2007, with whom he shares four children: Lindsay, Michael Jr., Aliana, and Dakota.
