Pakistani actor and singer Junaid Khan recently disclosed an unsettling experience from his past during an appearance on Ahmad Ali Butt’s podcast. Khan revealed that he once slapped actress Sanam Saeed while filming a TV series, an act he deeply regrets.
The incident occurred during the shooting of the 2012 series Mata-e-Jaan, directed by Mehreen Jabbar. Khan explained, “He still regrets his act but it was necessary to fulfil the requirements of the script and that he was following the director’s instructions.” According to Khan, both Jabbar and Saeed insisted on a real slap to enhance the scene’s authenticity. Despite his initial reluctance, Khan performed the action, stating, “I then took another shot and slapped Sanam Saeed harder this time, as she was visibly hurt.”
Khan described the incident as the “worst scene of his career” and expressed deep regret for his involvement. He emphasized his commitment to avoid such scenes in the future, saying, “I vowed that I would never do such scenes again.”
Junaid Khan, known for his role as the lead vocalist of the rock band Call and his acting in series like Hania and Sun Yaara, has reflected on this episode as a learning experience in his career.
