Tabu’s fans have been eagerly waiting for her international debut, and the wait is finally over. The acclaimed Bollywood actress has made a striking entrance in the fifth episode of the American science fiction series Dune: Prophecy.
Tabu plays the role of Sister Francesca, a fierce antagonist, and her powerful performance has captivated audiences.
In a special video released by the show’s official Instagram, executive producer Alison Schapker praised Tabu, calling her a “Bollywood legend.”
She explained, “In the penultimate episode, we needed somebody to come into the show and take a front-and-center role. Tabu is a Bollywood legend, and the fact that she was willing to do it was a great joy for all of us.”
Tabu herself spoke about her character, revealing the depth of Francesca, who uses the power of imprinting to win the love and confidence of Emperor Javicco Corrino. “She has the power of imprinting, and it allows me to explore so many aspects of the mind. It’s a great coming together of so many things and for me, to build the character,” she shared.
Her electrifying performance has earned praise from fellow celebrities such as Huma Qureshi, Nimrat Kaur, Zoya Akhtar, and Neelam Kothari. The fifth episode aired on December 15, and the final episode will be available for streaming in India on December 23 on JioCinema.
