UAE Petrol, diesel prices decreased for September 2024
The United Arab Emirates government has reduced fuel prices for September 2024, providing relief on Super 98 and other petroleum products for the public.
Starting September 1, Super 98 petrol will be priced at Dhs2.90 per litre, down from Dhs3.05. Special 95 will now cost Dhs2.78 per litre, a decrease from Dhs2.93.
E-plus 91 will be priced at Dhs2.71, reduced from Dhs2.86, and diesel prices will drop to Dhs2.78 per litre from Dhs2.95. These adjustments reflect changes in global oil prices and operational costs. In August, the UAE had slightly raised fuel prices.

Recently, global trends have shown a decrease in oil prices, with Brent crude falling to $78.80 per barrel and WTI crude dropping to $73.55.
This decline is partly due to expectations of increased OPEC+ supply in October and reduced US interest rate cut expectations. OPEC+ plans to raise oil output, compensating for Libyan production losses due to internal conflict and Iraqi supply reductions following an overproduction.
