Honda CG 150 or Suzuki GS 150? Detailed Look at Features and Specs

Honda has added new energy to Pakistan’s 150cc motorcycle market by launching the CG 150. For those thinking about buying the Suzuki GS 150, Honda’s latest model offers a modern and upgraded option. The CG 150 is designed to deliver better performance, improved comfort, and a stylish look.

Engine Power and Performance

The Honda CG 150 has a 150cc 4-stroke SOHC air-cooled engine with a balancer shaft, which helps give a smoother ride. It produces 11.3 horsepower at 7500 RPM. Although this is slightly lower than the Suzuki GS 150’s 13.8 horsepower at 8500 RPM, Honda makes up for it with more torque—12.5 Nm at 6000 RPM—and better vibration control.

Design and Build

The CG 150 is slightly taller and longer than the GS 150. It offers better ground clearance at 171 mm, making it a good choice for rough roads. In comparison, the Suzuki GS 150 has a ground clearance of 155 mm.

Transmission and Start System

Both bikes come with a 5-speed gearbox and have both self-start and kick-start options, giving riders flexibility and ease of use.

Braking and Safety Features

Honda has the edge in safety, offering front disc brakes and a Combi-Brake System (CBS). Suzuki, on the other hand, sticks with traditional drum brakes, which are considered less advanced.

Looks and Features

The CG 150 comes with modern alloy wheels and bright LED headlights. These features give it a fresh, modern look. Meanwhile, the GS 150 still uses older halogen bulbs and does not offer alloy wheels.

Price Difference

The Honda CG 150 is priced at PKR 459,900, while the Suzuki GS 150 is cheaper at PKR 399,900. The difference of Rs60,000 may influence buyers who are focused on budget over features.

Conclusion: A Tough Choice for Riders

With this new launch, the competition in the 150cc bike market is heating up. The Honda CG 150 offers a more stylish and feature-rich ride, while the Suzuki GS 150 remains a strong performer for those looking for power at a lower price. Riders now have a clear choice between advanced features and affordability.
