Govt announces Hajj packages in 2025 price cut
The government of Pakistan has announced significant relief measures to make Hajj 2025 more affordable for pilgrims. Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, revealed that the cost of Hajj packages under the Government’s Regular Scheme has been reduced by up to Rs50,000.
In addition to the price reduction for Hajj 2025, the government will also issue refunds to last year’s pilgrims. The refund amounts will range from Rs20,000 to Rs140,000, providing financial relief to those who performed Hajj in 2024.
New Hajj 2025 Cost in Pakistan
While addressing a press conference, Hussain announced a major price cut for Hajj packages. The cost of the 40-day Hajj package has been reduced by Rs25,000, bringing the total to Rs1,050,000.
Meanwhile, the short Hajj package, lasting 25 days, has been fixed at Rs1,100,000 after a Rs50,000 reduction.
Pilgrims choosing the long Hajj package must pay a third installment of Rs450,000 after the initial deposits. Those opting for the 25-day package will need to pay a third installment of Rs500,000, in addition to the Rs600,000 already paid in the first two installments.
These measures aim to ease the financial burden on pilgrims and encourage more people to fulfill their religious duty in 2025.
