Gold prices witness sharp decline in Pakistan
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp decline on Friday, with a significant drop in both local and international markets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of one tola of gold has decreased by Rs5,000, bringing it down to Rs351,000.
The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs4,287, now standing at Rs300,925.
Meanwhile, in the international market, gold fell by $53 per ounce, bringing the new global rate to $3,290 per ounce.
Earlier, Gold prices increased across the country , according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,335 per tola, reaching Rs356,000. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs1,144, now standing at Rs305,212.
On the international front, gold prices also saw an uptick, rising by $13 to reach $3,343 per ounce.
It should be noted that the country had seen an increase of Rs 300 per gold price per tola in the country.
