Petrol prices in Pakistan are expected to rise in the upcoming fortnightly review for September 2025 due to the upward trend in global oil markets.
The federal government will announce the revised prices on the night of August 31 after reviewing a summary from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). The new prices will be applicable from September 1 to 15.
Global Oil Prices
Over the past thirteen days, Brent crude oil prices rose by $1.6, reaching $67.47 per barrel, up from the earlier price of $65.85.
The increase followed a report from the US Energy Information Administration showing that US crude oil stockpiles dropped by 2.4 million barrels during the week ending on August 22.
Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan
The latest petrol price in Pakistan stands at Rs264.61 per litre, effective from August 1, 2025, after a reduction of Rs7.54 per litre.
The price of High Speed Diesel stands at Rs272.99 per litre while Light Speed Diesel is being sold for Rs162.37/litre.
