Gold prices rise by Rs2, 100 per tola across Pakistan


KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan surged again on Saturday, with a notable increase of Rs2, 100 per tola across local bullion markets.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose to Rs422,700 per tola, marking another significant jump amid continued volatility in global and domestic markets.

In the global market, gold prices jumped by $21, pushing the rate to $4,016 per ounce — one of the highest levels recorded so far this year.

Gold prices in Pakistan has surged to another high after recording massive gains in local market.

According to the Saraffa Association, the opening price of 24-karat gold per tola stood at 425,178 while the rate for 10 grams stood at Rs364,521.

Gold is a valuable commodity widely traded in global markets. Known for its rarity and durability, gold has been used for centuries as a store of value and hedge against inflation. It is traded in various forms, including physical bullion, futures contracts, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
