Palestine policy unchanged, decision on sending force to be made: Dar – HUM News

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday said the Gaza peace plan envisaged deploying a peace force in Palestine and Indonesia had offered contributing a 20,000-strong contingent for the purpose.

Leadership in Pakistan would make a decision to send personnel for being part of the peace force, Dar hoped at a press conference in Islamabad.

Rejecting the criticism by some circles, he wondered whether the critics wanted to see children continue dying in Gaza and said Pakistan’s policy on Palestine was very clear and there would no change in the same.

Dar, who is also Pakistan’s foreign minister, reminded the media persons that Pakistan wasn’t alone in welcoming the Gaza peace plan.

His remarks came eight Arab League and OIC members — Pakistan being one of them — had presented a united front on the issue to press for a solution to the current alarming situation in Gaza.
